Co- teacher and Substitutes wanted.

Duties include:

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily morning and afternoon curriculum (Creative Curriculum) with other teacher (with attention paid to individualized development and progress).
  • Sincere interest in working with children and professional knowledge of the principles, theories, concepts, and practices of early childhood care and education. Must have an understanding of early intervention.
  • Knowledge of early childhood typical and atypical development.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Preschool and Kindergarten Program (CPKP) funding helpful.
  • Responsible for Results Matter reporting (training provided).
  • Plan and implement additional activities (related to morning curriculum or general development, includes Big Room activities).
  • Nurture and care for children of all abilities.
  • Complete classroom paperwork when necessary (incident reports, sickness forms, behavior reports, etc.).
  • Group management and supervision (in classroom, on playground, in Big Room, on field trips).
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
  • Active implementation of school policies/procedures regarding health, safety, discipline, child development, and staff conduct.
  • Establish meaningful relationships and trust with children and their families.
  • Supervising teacher or administration may assign other specific duties as needed.

Candidates must be group leader qualified. AAS or BA preferred. For the co-teacher we are looking for a degreed candidate with director qualifications preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Graduate students encouraged to apply. Please email resume to info@cop-denver.org
